A special called meeting is scheduled for the Middlesboro City Council this Thursday at 6 p.m.

“We have some items on the agenda that need to be discussed,” Mayor Rick Nelson said. “There is also an ordinance that needs a second reading.”

The public is invited to attend the meeting that will be held in the Council Chamber of City Hall.

There will be items to be discussed with the finance committee that will include an update on the audits and updates from the department heads.

The community development committee will be discussing their updates on ordinances presented for approval.

The personnel committee will also be present for any questions or concerns from the city council or public.

The meeting is open to the public and the community is encouraged to attend.
