Main Street Pineville is gearing up to kick off a long list of summer events starting this Thursday night with Sydney Adams and Jordan King performing at Main Street Live. Director Jacob Roan is very excited about the events that will have something for everyone in the whole community to enjoy during the summer.
On Friday, the End of School Bash will be held at both Sauced and the Bell County Public Library.
The Kentucky Mountain Laurel Festival, one of the biggest celebrations of the year, is scheduled for May 23 through 26. Main Street Live will feature Dalton Mills and Gambrel & Wilson on May 30.
The next event to be scheduled is a music festival that will be the first of its kind to take place in Bell County. It’s a two-day music event with over 15 bands, and Main Street Pineville is partnering with Bell County Tourism Commission to make the festival happen.
The festival will be held June 7 and 8 at Laurel Cove.
“I can’t say enough about the work that Jon Grace has done on this event,” Roan said. “He has booked every band and he keeps in tune with Americana and upcoming country music artists that people must really love because when we put the tickets on sale, within an hour over 100 tickets had sold, and we are up to around 300 tickets sold right now.”
The Laurel Cove venue only holds around 1,400.
“We expect that to sell out,” he said. “We are already making plans for next year to take it up a notch, but it’s going to be a really cool event on June 7 and 8, that’s a Friday and Saturday.”
Tickets range from $20-$40. For more information, you can check out their Facebook page at Laurel Cove Music Festival you can also make reservations at Pine Mountain State Resort Park by visiting parks.ky.gov and searching for Pine Mountain.
