A man remains in jail after he was discovered sleeping in a vehicle that did not belong to him.
Sunday morning, the owner of the vehicle called the Middlesboro Police Department after discovering 21-year-old Charles Wilcox asleep in his car.
Middlesboro Police Officer Kenny Vanover responded to the call and upon investigation determined that Wilcox had unlocked the vehicles without the owner’s permission, got inside, and was sleeping inside when he discovered him that morning.
Wilcox remains in the Bell County Detention Center and is charged with criminal trespassing and was served two bench warrants for pay or stay and failure to appear.
He was also served an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle complaint warrant.
His current bond is $1,673 and does not have a bond on the criminal trespass charge.
