A Middlesboro man was arrested on Saturday after police say they found over 3 grams of methamphetamine on his person. John Pridemore, 32, of Middlesboro was charged with first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (greater than or equal to 2 grams), possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle under the influence and operating on suspended or revoked operator’s license.

According to the arrest citation, officers with the Middlesboro Police Department observed a pickup truck swerving several times. After stopping the vehicle on New Wilson Lane, officers also noticed Pridemore’s eyes were bloodshot.

As a result of a search, officers found a plastic tube that contained methamphetamine. Pridemore was then arrested and taken to the police station.

The arrest citation states that once they were at the police station, officers removed a camouflage carrying case that contained several distribution bags and another large distribution bag that contained 3.4 grams of methamphetamine.

Pridemore is currently being held at the Bell County Detention Center on a $2,500 cash bond.

Others arrested over the weekend on felony charges include:

• Rocky Baker, 55, of Middlesboro, first-degree possession of a controlled substance;

• Crystal Brock, 37, of Middlesboro, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, bench warrant for court;

• Pamela Daniels, 27, of Calvin, second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, theft by deception under $500, bench warrant for court.
