The Bell County Bobcats shut out the McCreary Central Raiders 61-0 Friday night on Log Mountain. Following the game, coach Dudley Hilton was especially happy with his defense.

“We really got after them defensively. They carried the ball 25 times from 40 yards so we just really shut the door on them and gave our offense a good chance to score some points,” he said.

Junior running back Colby Frazier carried the ball six time for 132 yards and two touchdowns adding to the impressive stats on the night.

Hilton says the Bobcats are looking forward to a district showdown against Casey County on Friday.

“We’ve got a very tough game against Casey County. They’ll be undefeated,” Hilton said, “They’ll be 5-0 and we’ll be 5-0, so we just have to make sure that we’re in good shape; we are going to have to work our team hard this week.”

This is Hilton’s 44th year coaching and his motto has always been, “The next game,” and that is what the Bobcats are going to be focused on this upcoming week.

Casey County came to Bell County last season where they beat the Bobcats, but Bell is looking for redemption in the rematch.
