Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College’s Selling to the World seminars and workshops have been providing the community various avenues to explore in the world of starting and growing their businesses.
In today’s world, business done and run from the web is as prevalent as ever. On Sept. 11 at 5:30 p.m., Selling to the World will be hosting an eBay Workshop.
eBay has been one of the most prominent consumer based websites since its inception more than a decade ago in 1995.
eBay has since grown to have millions of registered users from all around the world. It’s not just a website to sell and purchase goods for director or auction. Users can create their own virtual store on the website.
The workshop will focus on the basics of eBay and teach those who attend how to set up their store, list their items for sale, how to ship their items and receive payment.
According to techradar.com, in order to open a store on eBay you have to meet certain criteria. You must be PayPal verified, you must also maintain an average rating of 4.4 for a year-long period. There are also different types of stores a user can open. The difference of the stores varies by the volume of fixed priced items you intend to sell.
The instructor for the workshop is David Lehrman, and the fee for attendance is $10. It will be held at 7 p.m. at the Middlesboro campus of SKCTC in room 217.
