BARBOURVILLE — Union College head women’s soccer coach Camila Mendes has unveiled the Bulldogs’ 2018 schedule.
This upcoming season features 16 total matches with seven games being held at home. Union is coming off a 2-16-1 season while finishing 2-8-1 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC)
The Bulldogs kick off the 2018 regular season on the road as their first two contests against non-conference foes. The first matchup is against Georgetown on Aug. 25 and before visiting Asbury on Aug. 28. Union will follow up those matches with a home date against Shawnee State (Ohio) on Sept. 1 before getting into conference play.
Union opens up AAC play at Montreat on Sept. 8 before making its way to Waleska, Georgia to face Reinhardt on Sept. 12. On Sept. 15, Union hosts its first AAC home match as Bluefield comes to Williamson Stadium.
The Bulldogs will then step out of AAC play by traveling to Williamsburg on Sept. 18 to take on Cumberlands.
Back in conference play, the Bulldogs host Point on Sept. 22 and Tennessee Wesleyan on Sept. 26. After the two home games, Union hits the road for a three-game stretch to face Brenau on Sept. 29, Truett McConnell on Oct. 2, and St. Andrews on Oct. 6 before it returns home for three games.
First, the Bulldogs face Columbia on Oct. 10, followed by Bryan on Oct. 17, and new conference opponent Columbia International on Oct. 20. The match against Columbia International is also Senior Day for the Bulldogs.
To conclude the regular season, the Bulldogs travel to face AAC rival Milligan on Oct. 24.
