Middlesboro Elks Lodge No. 119 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks recently made their annual donation of $250 to Friends of the Bell County Animal Shelter (FOS), a non-profit organization made up of scores of dedicated volunteers who work hard year round encouraging and promoting the spaying and neutering of pets by their owners and assisting many low income families financially in doing so. This work over the past several years has substantially reduced the number of homeless and unwanted animals seen in Bell County. They also work hard in cooperation with the animal shelter in finding forever homes for many of the animals who ultimately end up at the shelter. Here, FOS Past President Jennifer Nagle accepts the donation from Elks President Tommy Harrell.
