Just shy of a month from now, the Pineville KidsFest will kick off in the downtown square. KidsFest is an event designed to give the children of the community a fun event of their own to enjoy all during the summer months.

The festivities begin on Aug. 11 at 3 p.m. and will extend to 6 p.m.

Main Street Pineville encourages all local businesses, churches, organizations and civic clubs to join in on the fun or donate to the event.

Main Street Pineville is also looking for vendors to set up shop at the KidsFest and provide a plethora of fun activities for the day. All vendors must be approved through Main Street Pineville to make sure all ordinances are obeyed and no activities are needlessly doubled. Sponsors are still available to inflatables.

Vendors are also encouraged to provide free activities, prizes and giveaways to an upwards of 500 children.

To register as a vendor, simply do it through the Main Street Pineville Facebook Page, text 606-499-0660 or email the Main Street Pineville Director, Jacob Roan, at jacobroan@gmail.com.

If a vendor wishes to sell merchandise at the event, they will need to organize that through Lissa-Beck Event Planning.

For set up for the day, vendors are encouraged to beginning at 1 p.m. and should arrive no later than 2:30 p.m.

In addition to the main event, a film will be shown at the Bell Theater at 1:30 p.m.

All vendors must be registered by Aug. 6.
