After bringing back their Main Street Live event last week, Main Street Pineville just announced their lineup of summer events that will extend all the way through to the end of October.

With the help of the Bell Theater, Vets Serving Vets, the Pineville Rotary Club, the Pineville Interact Club, the Big One 106.3 FM, Lissa-Beck event planner and the City of Pineville, merchants and all who work at Main Street Pineville, the summer should prove to be a happening time for Bell County as a whole.

July 3 will mark a trifecta of events to enjoy. The Duck Race, street dance and a firework display will be held just in time for the Fourth of July. The entry packages for the duck race are $5 for one duck, $25 for six ducks and $100 for 25 ducks.

On July 4th, a pool party will be held at the city pool.

July 12 is the next Main Street Live event. July 28 will be the Miss Freedom Fest Pageant and Aug. 4 will be the Freedom Fest proper. Aug. 11 is KidsFest while Aug. 16 will feature the third Main Street Live performance.

Also, on Aug. 16, the Upstairs Downtown event will be held. During that event, the city will be opening up vacant upstairs retail and residential spaces for people to tour with the hopes of encouraging them to move downtown in the upstairs properties.

Sept. 8 will be the fourth Main Street Live show and The Amazing Race Pineville. Sept. 14 will be the Wine and Canvas event and Sept. 27 and Oct. 28 will be the last two Main Street Live performances.

All of these upcoming events are rain or shine with the Bell Theater taking up the reins should the weather not cooperate.

More information will be available for these events as their dates draw nearer.
