Maidon powers Pineville offense in district win over Barbourville

Photo by Danny Vaughn Pineville outfielder Rayanna Maidon collected a triple and two singles and scored three runs in the Lady Lions' 12-0 win Thursday at Barbourville.

Pineville completed a district sweep of Barbourville with a 12-0 win Thursday.
Rayanna Maidon led a nine-hit attack from the leadoff spot with a triple, two singles and three runs scored. Addison Slone added a double and single. Rachel Howard had a double. Monica Whitehead, Isabella Adans and Malley Smith each singled once.
Howard pitched a second straight shutout, giving up only one hit with 11 strikeouts and no walks.
Aubrey Richardson had the only Barbourville hit with a single.
The 7-1 Lady Lions play at Hazard on Saturday.
