Senator Scott Madon announces 2025 legislative committee assignments

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Senate Majority Leadership has announced that newly elected Sen. Scott Madon, R-Pineville, will serve on several key legislative committees for the 2025 session. Madon will co-chair of the Budget Review Subcommittee on General Government, Finance, and Public Protection, where he will focus on budgetary priorities related to public safety, state operations, and financial management.

Madon will also serve as a member of the Senate Standing Committees on Appropriations & Revenue; Economic Development, Tourism, and Labor; Natural Resources & Energy; and State & Local Government. Additionally, he will serve on the Capital Projects and Bond Oversight Committee, contributing to the evaluation of infrastructure projects and financial planning for the Commonwealth.

“I am honored to serve in these roles as a first-time senator,” said Madon. “As a former mayor, I understand the importance of thoughtful leadership and collaboration in addressing the needs of our communities. These committee assignments provide a great opportunity to work on issues that truly matter to Kentuckians. I am committed to bringing my experience and dedication to these roles to ensure the voices of the 29th Senate District are heard and respected.”
