Bell County ran its win streak to eight and warmed up for next week’s 2A Classic with a 69-49 win at Antioch, Tenn.
Sophomore forward Ethan Buell poured in 30 points and senior guard Cameron Hall added 18 as the Bobcats improved to 11-3. Jaxon Thomas tossed in seven points. Blake Burnett and Cayden Huff tossed in six each. Braxton Ferguson added two.
“Our guys continue to find a way to win,” Bell County coach Brad Sizemore said. “We had several guys step up and play huge on both sides of the ball. We just beat a very big and athletic team. Our kids are continuing to play great team defense and are sharing the ball. I’m happy for our guys. Hopefully, this will continue to give us momentum moving forward into the 2A tournament next week.”
The Bobcats will play Whitley County on Tuesday at 6 in the 2A Section 7 Tournament at Harlan County High School.
