Sunday morning fire destroys Bell County sawmill

The Bell County Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched shortly before 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning to a structure fire on Highway 221 in the Stoney Fork community. They found the E & E Hardwoods sawmill fully engulfed in flames.
Responding stations were Right Fork, East Pineville and Calloway. Chief Tim Howard also responded.
After several hours, firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and cleared the scene shortly after 7 a.m.
WRIL reports the fire rekindled at 7:58 a.m. and BCVFD units responded once again, clearing the scene approximately an hour later.
The sawmill appears to be a total loss. The state arson investigator has been called to the scene to open a case on the cause of the fire.
