The Middlesboro Lady Jackets ran their record to 2-1 with a 47-36 win Tuesday at Barbourville.
Senior guard Keevi Betts scored 16 points and freshman guard Emily Lambert added 13 to lead the Lady Jackets.
Layla Brock and Marleigh Martin led the Lady Tigers with 14 and 12 points, respectively
“I’m really proud of the way the girls pulled through,” Middlesboro coach Sally Adams said. “We played through a lot of foul trouble and adversity and still got the win.”
Middlesboro will play host to Bell County on Friday in a district doubleheader.
