Man charged with kidnapping after holding Middlesboro woman against her will

A Miracle, Ky., man has been charged with kidnapping and domestic violence after threatening a Middlesboro woman with a knife and holding her against her will.
WRIL reports that Middlesboro Officer Jake Quillen responded to an altercation call in the vicinity of 31st Street and Robinson Lane on Sunday, November 3. Once on scene the officer made contact with the female victim and 27-year-old Joshua Colin Mason of Miracle, Ky. He noticed the woman had a cut on her right hand.
She stated Joshua Mason showed up at her aunt’s home on 26th Street, came in the home, and began talking to her. At some point, Mason grabbed a knife, started waving it around during the talk, and then forced her into his vehicle while still wielding the knife.
The victim stated that Mason said he would kill her if she screamed or made a sound. She went on to say that he struck her in the face, grabbed her arm leaving marks, and when she tried to leave the car, he grabbed her by the hair pulling her back in not allowing her to leave.
At the scene, Officer Quillen retrieved the knife and hair that had been pulled from the victim’s head.
Joshua Colin Mason was arrested and lodged in the Bell County Detention Center. He was charged with kidnapping — adult, assault — 2nd degree —domestic violence, and violation of conditions of release. Mason has been out on bond for another case with the condition he receives no new violations or arrests as well as to stay 200 feet away from this victim.
