As the primary playmaker for a Middlesboro team that posted a 9-2 record this fall, Caden Lawson was recently honored as the player of the year in Region 4 for Division 3 teams after compiling over 2,500 all-purpose yards.
Lawson played running back, receiver and linebacker for the Yellow Jackets. He scored 46 touchdowns and 65 tackles.
“Caden Lawson is a true competitor and complete game changer,” coach Major Edwards said. “He is someone you can call a true X-factor. He had an unbelievable year both offensively and defensively.”
“He’s the most electrifying kid I’ve ever coached,” added coach Diran Young. “If my life came down to scoring a TD, No. 1 would definitely have the ball in his hands.”
