Only a dream when Samantha North started the Pineville volleyball program in 2016, the Lady Lions are now making a habit of qualifying for the 13th Region Tournament.
The Lady Lions made it four straight on Wednesday with a 25-16, 25-7, 25-7 rout of Lynn Camp in the opening match of the 51st District Tournament. Pineville will play the Barbourville-Knox Central winner on Thursday at 6 in a quest for a second straight district championship.
“I’m proud of our girls for advancing to region, but the job definitely isn’t finished. One of our program goals has been to set the standard of going to region every year, so to be back for the fourth year in a row is definitely working towards thats standard,” North said. “We have been preparing all season for this moment, so we want to clean up a few things and get ready to go to battle Thursday.”
