Bobcats roll up 411 yards on the ground in win over Knox Central

Knox Central’s Brayden Sizemore rumbled down the field as Bell County’s Blake Burnett went in for a tackle.

Bell County extended its win streak to seven and moved within one victory of a District 7 title with a 44-18 win Friday at Knox Central.
The Bobcats rolled up 411 yards on the ground as both Hunter Everage and Kaleb Miller topped the century mark with Everage gaining 162 yards on nine carries and Miller added 123 yards on 17 carries. Miller scored three touchdowns, while Everage, James Neal and Blake Evans added one each.
Blake Burnett completed four of seven passes for 91 yards.
Evans and Neal each had touchdown runs in the first quarter with Miller adding a two-point conversion and Burnett teaming with Joseph Brigmon for another. Brayden Sizemore caught a 14-yard TD pass from Johnathan Hobbs to put the Panthers on the board.
Miller had touchdown runs of 15 and 5 yards in the second quarter as the Bobcats extended their lead to 28-6 by halftime.
Hobbs had a 19-yard touchdown run for Knox in the third quarter. Miller answered with a 7-yard run for the Bobcats then added the two-point conversion.
Everage went 24 yards in the fourth quarter for the final Bell touchdown. Burnett teamed with Hayden Dameron for the two-point conversion.
Hobbs added a 3-yard touchdown run for Knox to close the scoring.
Josh Owens and Evans led the Bell defense with nine tackles each. Cayden Huff added seven.
Bell County will be open next week before playing host to Clay County on Oct. 25 in a game that would clinch the district championship for the Bobcats. The 4-3 Panthers play host to Clay County on Friday.
