The Middlesboro Lady Jackets captured the 50th District Tournament title with an 8-0 win Monday over Bell County.

A second straight 8-0 win sent the Middlesboro Lady Jackets to their second straight 50th District Tournament title.
Middlesboro followed a shutout win Monday over Knox Central with another 8-0 win Tuesday, this one over Bell County on the Lady Cats’ home field.
Hannah Fleet and Keevi Betts each had two goals for the 12-3 Lady Jackets. Abby Jackson, Kolbi Mason, Emily Parsons and Millie Roberts added one goal each. Alysia White recorded two assists. Mason added one.
Trinity Partin posted shutouts in both district tournament wins.
“This was a big win for our girls and the school,” said Middlesboro coach Quentin Mason. “I’m proud of them for all their hard work, but we’re not finished yet. They’re excited about getting to play in the regional tournament.”
