Grace Health is pleased to announce that Jaslyn Wall, a recent graduate of Middlesboro High School, has been named the 2024 recipient of the Kay Campbell Nursing Scholarship for Bell County.
Jaslyn exemplifies academic excellence and dedication to her future career in nursing. Wall maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout high school and achieved her vocational Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification upon graduation. She will attend Morehead State University (MSU) this fall, joining their prestigious nursing pipeline program that accepts only 50 students annually.
Throughout her high school career, Jaslyn was an active participant in numerous organizations and activities, including the Key Club, Beta Club, National Honors Society, Volleyball, Talent Search, Academic Team, Future Problem Solving, Choir, Women’s Ministry, Youth Ministry, a nursing pipeline program, and CNA classes. Her remarkable involvement and leadership in these activities underscore her commitment to her community and future profession.
Jaslyn, the daughter of Miranda and Dewayne Wall, has set ambitious long-term goals to become a nurse practitioner and one day manage a practice. Reflecting on her career choice, Jaslyn said, “I’ve spent much of my life in and out of medical facilities. Through the years, I’ve realized how much nurses help, and I want to be able to do that as well.”
She chose MSU because of its high-ranking nursing program and the welcoming nature of its campus community.
Grace Health is proud to support Jaslyn as she embarks on her journey to become a nurse and significantly impact the healthcare community. Her dedication and passion for nursing embody the spirit and legacy of Kay Campbell.
