Fred “Buttons” Allen Robbins, 81, passed away on April 29, 2024, in Columbus, Mississippi. He was born on February 13, 1943, in Pineville, Kentucky. Fred, known for his kind heart and beautiful smile, will be dearly missed by his loved ones. Fred, also known as Buttons, served in the US Air Force and was proud of his military associations. After his service, he pursued a career as a Brick Mason. He attended 8th grade in his educational journey. He was a member of the East End Baptist Church and found solace in his faith. Gardening was one of his favorite hobbies, bringing him joy and peace. Fred is survived by his wife, Barbara Robbins, his daughters Kimberly Pulver and Sherri Hansen, his grandchildren Ashley, Ben, Allison, and Zoe, and his great-grandchild Callie Harper Chartier. He was preceded in death by his mother Dessie Fore, father John Mason, and uncle Paul North. Fred had a special bond with his cousin Sue North Rice, who was like a sister to him, and a dear friend, Theo Messer, who was like a son to him. The funeral arrangements are being handled by Belle in Aberdeen, Mississippi. Fred “Buttons” Allen Robbins will be remembered for his dedication, love for his family, and his commitment to his country.
