Charlie “Chop” Smith

Charlie “Chop” Smith, age 42, went home to be with the Lord on March 6, 2024.
He was born November 4, 1981 in Bell County, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his mother, Debbie (Wooton) Jackson, step-father Bob Jackson, biological father Anthony Smith, grandmother Kitty Wooton, grandfather Don Wooton, aunts Barbara Smith, Tammy Wooton, Pam Howerton and Nancy Maggard, uncles Paul Wooton, Dopey Wooton, Bannie Wooton, Jeff Wooton and Johnny Wooton, and cousins Mikey Wooton and Jessica Mace.
Charlie was a true outdoorsman who loved to fish and especially ride his four-wheeler. Anything and everything Camo was what he wore most of the time. Charlie was such an easy going person who could get along with anyone. His children were his everything and he enjoyed nothing more than getting to be with them. Charlie will be dearly missed by all those who loved him.
Left to cherish his memory, his wife Rosey Smith, sons Dalton Smith and Lucas Smith, daughter Hannah Smith, father-in-law Mitchell Turner, mother-in-law Betty Jo Turner, aunts Robin Howerton and Vickie Hamlet, sister Barb Evans, cousins Amanda Webb, Jessi Howerton, Beth Wooton, Lisa Anderson, Mark Wooton, Paula Michelle Wooton, Andrew Johnson, Kaitlin Herrell, Sherry Young, and Megan Young, special cousins Ricky Smith, Allen Webb, Josh Partin and Andy Howerton, as well as many others that loved him dearly.
The family of Charlie Smith received friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Green Hills Funeral Home.
Funeral Services were conducted at 12 noon Monday, March 11, 2024 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel.
Graveside Services immediately followed at the Oakview-Yeary Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Seymore Turner, Andy Howerton, Allen Webb, Kenny Herrell, Ronnie Turner and Henry Muncy.
