Healthcare workers and first responders have been putting their health and well-being on the line for weeks during the COVID-19 pandemic. Last week, McDonald’s rolled out a way to celebrate those selfless workers by offering them free “Thank You Meals.”
McDonald’s is proud to announce that in the last week, restaurants nationwide served up nearly 4 million “Thank You Meals,” including almost 47,000 in the local area.
The “Thank You Meals” for first healthcare workers and first responders will be available for free until May 5 at participating McDonald’s locations across the United States. Each meal will be available via drive thru or carry out and will be served in a McDonald’s iconic Happy Meal box, in the hopes of bringing a smile along with delicious food.
Day or night, these frontline heroes can simply show their work badge to receive one of the below Thank You Meal options:

Lunch and Dinner
- A choice of a Double Cheeseburger, 6-Piece Chicken McNuggets® or a Filet-O-Fish will be offered. All options come with any size soft drink, tea or hot coffee and small fries.
