The Cumberland Gap High School Panthers Productions are proud to present the beloved production of Beauty and the Beast.
“We are very excited to present the off-Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast to the community,” Theatrical Director and teacher Alison Manning said. “These students have worked so hard on this production for two months, and it’s going to be exciting for the community to see it all come together.”
Manning explained that one of the greatest joys that she gets to experience as the theatrical director for Cumberland Gap Panthers Productions is to watch the students come together and work as one unit and really become as close as a family.
“When we start out we have casting calls for the individual positions,” she explained. “We have the technical side that includes lighting and sound, and we have the student directors and managers then the individual parts within the play, and throughout the practices they become this little family.”
Productions that have been performed in the past include Wicked, Les Miserables and the Greatest Showman, all received rave reviews from the community.
The debut performance will be Saturday in the Cumberland Gap High School auditorium at 6 p.m. and Nov. 23 at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
