Pineville loses in straight sets to Leslie County
The Lady Lions have had a rough October, dropping all four games played this month. In their last game against Leslie County, they fell in three straight sets.
Hannah Robbins lead the way for the Lions with two kills, two blocks and two digs. Reece Foley followed closely with two kills, two assists and one dig. Chesney Brock tallied two kills, one assist and two service aces. Adelaida Garcia finished the night with one kill, two assists and three service aces.
On the opposite side of the floor, the Lady Eagles were led by Ryleigh Napier. She finished the night with seven kills, one block, one dig and seven service aces.
The Lady Lions were slated to wrap up their regular season against in-county rival Middlesboro on Thursday in Pineville.
Bell County falls to Knox Central
The Bell County Lady Cats have had a pretty good year in volleyball this season. Tuesday was not their night as Bell lost 3-0 to Knox Central.
MaKenna Lefevers paced the Lady Cats tallying 12 kills, one block, 28 digs and one service ace. Raegan Robbins finished then night with 30 assists, 16 digs and four service aces. Madison Ford had 20 digs and three service aces, while Clara Bolinger had six kills, one block, seven digs and one service ace.
The Lady Panthers were led by the efforts of Janae Adams, who ended the game with eight kills, 17 digs and four service aces.
Bolstering a 12-12 record with one regular season game remaining, the Lady Cats are set to play Harlan County in the opening round of the district tournament on Oct. 21. The Lady Cats are on a three-game skid and were looking to bounce back against Buckhorn at home on Thursday.
Middlesboro defeated by Lynn Camp
The Lady Jackets have struggled this season in volleyball. So far through the month of October, the Lady Jackets have managed one win (Barbourville) and three losses. In their latest match-up, Middlesboro fell to Lynn Camp on the road in three sets.
The Lady Jackets were slated to play Pineville on the road Thursday.
