‘Music for Miners’ benefit concert series slated for Aug. 16, 24

Talent keeps being added to the list of artists performing at the upcoming two-weekend benefit for the Blackjewel miners titled, “Music for Miners.”
Bell County Tourism, in conjunction with Main Street Pineville, will be hosting the two-weekend event to raise money for families affected by the recent closure of the mines.
“We’re proud to partner with Main Street Pineville to bring you two benefit shows for our miners affected by the Blackjewel situation,” Bell County Director of Tourism Jon Grace said. “We have had so many musicians reach out to us, and we appreciate it so much.”
The event is scheduled to be held inside the Bell Theater on Aug. 16 and Aug. 24 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The Aug. 24 musical lineup includes:
• Laid Back Country Picker
• Tony Logue
• Tyler Smith

• Dakota Saylor
• Chris Blake
• Tim Goodin
• Daniel Chumley

All proceeds from both shows will go to helping the miners and their families.
