The nursing program at Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKCTC) has been recognized by Nursing Explorer as among the top in the Commonwealth. According to their best-value RN programs rankings list, Southeast earned the No. 2 spot out of 39 programs in Kentucky.

Nursing Explorer gathers information about nursing programs across the country and makes it available to students as a searchable database. This year, they gathered data from over 3,000 nursing schools and ranked 1,721 across 45 states. These rankings are determined by two factors: pass rates and affordability.

SKCTC Nursing Program Coordinator Joy Pennington says she was thrilled by the news: “We are very proud of our nursing program here at Southeast. This recognition is confirmation that our students are receiving the quality education that they deserve without entering the workforce with unnecessary debt.”
