Fugitive out of Virginia caught in Middlesboro

A Danville man remains behind bars at the Bell County Detention Center following his arrest Monday.
Roby Keith Thompson Jr., 49, also known as Joseph Denny Bradshaw and Jody K. Bradshaw, was apprehended after a call to dispatch of an individual looking for a ride out of the area. Thompson allegedly stated to the caller that he was wanted.
Thompson Jr. was taken into custody on KY 441 in Middlesboro by officer Jeremiah Johnson and Lt. David Buis.
According to sources, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office was in pursuit of Thompson Jr. Sunday night following a call to authorities that a man had attempted to kidnap a woman while armed with a weapon.
Lee County, Va. officer Jeff Smith is in charge of the investigation. Thompson Jr. remains in the Bell County Detention Center with no bond.
