3 Lady Cat cheerleaders sign with Union

Three Bell County senior cheerleaders — Glyn Daniels, Baylee Keck and Alexius Sensabaugh — all signed on Friday to continue their careers at Union Commonwealth University.

“It means everything to me because I’ve cheered my whole life,” Daniels said of knowing she will be cheering at the college level. “I am made to cheer, I just love it so much.”

She said she chose Union because of coach Lisa Napier.

“She is so amazing, she has reached out to me since I was in eighth grade, Their outreach program is just amazon and Union is just an awesome school,” Daniels said.,

She is currently undecided on her major but is considering going into nursing. She was joined by her parents Regina and Vernon Daniels.

Keck said going on to cheer in college was really exciting.

“I am just happy that I can continue my cheer career because I’ve cheered for so long,” she said. “I love the atmosphere at Union and their coach.”

Keck was joined by her mother Becky, father Josh, step-dad Brian, step-mom Amber and her little sister Brylee. She plans to major in Biology.

Sensabaugh is also excited to know she’ll be cheering in college.

“It’s a great opportunity, I’m really excited to see what the future has in store for my cheerleading career,” she said.

She also was drawn to Union Commonwealth because of the atmosphere around the cheer team and coaching staff.

“They’re very encouraging. That’s the kind of environment I want to surround myself with,” Sensabaugh said.

She also thanked her coaches and family for getting her to this point and making her the athlete she is today.

She was joined by her mother Jessica Rains, father Jonathan Rains and brother Jonathan Rains. Sensabaugh plans to major in Nursing.
