Burnett reaches 200-strikeout mark as Bell travels to Florida

The Bell County Bobcats dropped three games during a spring break trip to Florida last week, falling 11-0 to St. Joseph Academy, 5-1 to Pedro Menendez and 15-5 to First Coast.
Bell County junior Blake Burnett recorded his 200th career strikeouts in the loss to Pedro Menendez as he gave up two unearned runs on four hits with three strikeouts and two walks over 4 2/3 innings. Cooper Brock allowed three runs on two hits with two strikeouts and one walk in one inning.
Holden Clark led the Bell offense with a double. Burnett and Jackson Walters had singles.
Clark, Hunter Fuson and Walters had hits against First Coast.
Brayden Carroll gave up one unearned run on three hits with two strikeouts and one walk in three innings. Brock and Logan Greene pitched one inning each with Brock giving up five runs and Greene giving up six.
The 3-4 Bobcats travel to South Laurel on Tuesday.
