Rachel Howard allowed only one hit over 11 innings Saturday as the Pineville Lady Lions earned a pair of wins at home — 2-1 over Cumberland Gap, Tenn., and 15-0 over Thomas Walker, Va.
Howard struck out 10 in a perfect game effort against Thomas Walker.
Addison Slone had a home run and single to lead Pineville’s nine-hit attack. Rayanna Maidon drove in three runs with a pair of singles. Monica Whitehead drove in two runs with two singles. Howard, Jaycee Caldwell and Shawna Elliott added one single each,
Whitehead led the Lady Lions against Cumberland Gap with three hits. Slone and Baileigh Bargo-Vaughn added one hit each.
Howard struck out 16 and walked none while allowing no earned runs.
The 3-0 Lady Lions play host to Middlesboro on Monday.
