The Middlesboro Elementary School Academic Team placed second in the Governor’s Cup Region 26 competition on Saturday.

MES got a first place finish from Reese Rogers in Arts & Humanities, a second place finish from Jenny Akers in Composition, Rogers was also third in Language Arts while Layla Cornelius placed fourth in both Language Arts and Science. The Quick Recall Team placed third and the Future Problem Solving team placed fourth.
