The Middlesboro Middle School Academic Team has brought home a second straight the Governor’s Cup Region 17 Champion.

MMS got a first place finish from the Quick Recall team, the Future Problem Solving team placed fourth and multiple students placed in individual subject area assessments.

Members of the Quick Recall team include: Rhilynn Rogers, Aubree Middleton, Chloe Godsey, Claire Partin, Kamryn Hensley, Anistyn Brown, Amiluh Williams, Noah Harris and Jackson Barnett.

Future Problem Solving team members include: Chloe Brown, Amiluh Williams, Hunter Hamlin, Harper Bisceglia and Cooper Edwards.

Rhilynn Rogers placed first in Arts & Humanities and Social Studies, Aubree Middleton placed first in Language Arts and fourth in Arts & Humanities, Chloe Godsey placed first in Science, Noah Harris placed second in Social Studies, Kamryn Hensley placed third in Arts & Humanities, Claire Partin placed third in Language Arts, Anistyn Brown placed fourth in Science and Emmitt Butler placed fifth in Math.
