MHS Academic Team wins 2nd straight 13th Region championship

The Middlesboro High School Academic Team has won the Governor’s Cup Region 13 Championship for the second year in a row.
Middlesboro got first place finishes from the Quick Recall team and the Future Problem Solving team while multiple students placed in individual content assessments.
Quick recall team members include: Sammie Lin, Aiden Spencer, Quentin Robertson, Alyssa Mullins, Dylan Craig, Emily Parsons, Abby Hensley and Haven Branham.
Future Problem Solving team members: Taylor Goodman, Faith Green, Abby Hensley and Elijah Barton.
Samie Lin placed first in Arts & Humanities and Science, Alyssa Mullins placed third in Arts & Humanities and Language Arts, Taylor Goodman placed second in Composition, Emily Parsons placed second in Language Arts and Quentin Robertson placed fourth in Language Arts and fifth in Social Studies.
