Faith Vera Marie Abner
Faith is the daughter of Christine and Charles Abner, she was escorted by her parents. She has been a member of the Mountain Lion Cheerleading squad for five years and is also a member of the Interact Club. Faith plans to go to college to become a registered nurse. Her best memory in high school was winning second place at the Class A state cheer competition and the Owensboro trip to the state All ‘A’ tournament.
Gracie Gail Collett
Gracie is the daughter of Josh Collett, she was escorted by her father, sisters Abbie, Sokie and Brooklyn Collett and her boyfriend Greg Hurst. She has been a member of the Mountain Lion Cheer squad for five years and the captain for three years, during that time the squad was two-time district runner-up, placed second at the state All ‘A’ tournament, 13th Region champions and Gracie was recognized as a UCA All-American cheerleader. She plans to go to college to become a nurse practitioner.
Kelcay Marie Helton
Kelcay is the daughter of Heather and Earl Baker, she was escorted by her parents and boyfriend Tristin Johnson. She has been a member of the Mountain Lion cheer squad for one year. Kelcay plans to go to college and go into the medical field. Her best memory in high school was getting to cheer with her best friends during football season and cheering in the rain during football senior night.
Aubrey Elise Jones
Aubrey is the daughter of Tammy Evans Jones and Shawn Jones, she was escorted by her mother and sister and brother-in-law Rachel and Michael Wilson. She has been a member of the Mountain Lion Cheer squad for four years and is also a member of the National Beta Club and the Interact Club. Aubrey plans to attend Cosmetology school and become a Cosmetologist. Her best memory in high school was going to cheer in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade in November.
Shelby Elizabeth Patterson
Shelby is the daughter of Shane and Amanda Patterson, she was escorted by her parents, brother Lucas and boyfriend Landon Robbins. She has been a member of the Mountain Lion Cheer squad for four years, during that time she has been co-captain, the squad was a two-time district runner up, 13th Region champions and placed second at the state All ‘A’ tournament. Shelby plans to attend LMU and become a Veterinary Technician.
Addison Slone
Addison is the daughter of Brittany and Timmy Slone, she was escorted by her parents and brother Noah Slone. She has been a member of the Mountain Lion Cheer squad for four years. During that time the Cheer squad won second place in the State All ‘A’ Cheer competition. Addison plans to go to college and major in Exercise Science. Her best memory in high school was the Owensboro trip for the State Class A Basketball Tournament.
Evan Coley
Evan is the son of Bobbi Coley, he was escorted by his mother. He has been a member of the Mountain Lion Archery program for four years and was individually the runner up in the 2025 13th Region All ‘A’ Archery Tournament. Evan plans to attend a trade school. His best memory of high school was joining the football team.
Ava Arnett
Ava is the daughter of Chris and Heather Arnett, she was escorted by her parents and sister Addison Arnett. She has been a member of the Lady Lion basketball program for six years, during that time Ava has been named to the Academic All-State team, 13th Region All-Tournament team, second-team All-Region by the 13th Region Coaches Association, scored over 1,000 points and won the Junior Cup. She plans to go to college and study in the medical field.
Kamryn Biliter
Kamryn is the daughter of Chad and Danita Biliter, she was escorted by her parents. She has been a member of the Lady Lion basketball program for six years, during that time Kamryn is a four-time KHSAA Academic All-State selection, and the Lady Lions have won two District Championships and a 13th Region All ‘A’ championship. She plans to attend Eastern Kentucky Universe to pursue a doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
Sawyer Thompson
Sawyer is the son of Erin and Russell Thompson, he was escorted by his parents and brother Kyson. He has been a member of the Mountain Lion basketball program for six years, during that time Sawyer was selected to the Class A All-Tournament Team, recorded the fourth ever triple-double and broke the all-time single game assist record in the Class ‘A’ State Tournament. He is the all-time leader in points scored and assists at Pineville High School with over 2,000 points scored, over 500 assists and over 500 rebounds; he was the state’s leading freshman scorer in 2022. After high school Sawyer plans to attend college and further his academic and athletic career.
Dylan Abner
Dylan is the son of Brooke and Chad Abner, he was escorted by his parents. He has been a member of the Mountain Lion Basketball Team for three years, during that time the Mountain Lions won the 13th Region All ‘A’ Tournament. After high school Dylan plans to attend a trade school.
Ashton Moser
Ashton is the son of Shawna Paterson and Mark Moser, he was escorted by his father and brother. He has been a member of the Mountain Lion basketball program for five years. After high school, Ashton plans to attend college and play basketball.
Jeremiah Beck
Jere is the son of Gala and Owen Beck, he was escorted by his parents and several other family members. He has been a member of the Mountain Lion basketball program for one year, during that time he scored his 1,000th career point. After high school Jere plans to play basketball in college and continue his education.
Kaiden Robbins
Kaiden is the son of Antoinette and Brian Robbins, he was escorted by his parents and brother Landon Robbins. He has been a member of the Mountain Lion basketball program for four years. After high school, Kaiden plans to join the military.
Sebastin Kyle
Sebastin is the son of Kristin and Jeffrey Kyle, he was escorted by his parents and siblings Jarrod, Brianna and Kendra. He has been a member of the Mountain Lion basketball program for one year. After high school, Sebastin plans to play sports in college and graduate with a business major.
Zander Garrison
Zander is the son of April Rogers, he was escorted by his mother. He has been a member of the Mountain Lion basketball program for three years. Zander is undecided on his plans after high school.
Jacob Hartmann
Jacob is the host son of Tracy and Wayne Gentry, he was escorted by his host mom. He has been a member of the Mountain Lion basketball program for one year. After high school, Jacob plans to attend college and further his education.
Jack Smith
Jack is the son of Miranda Lambdin and Jack Smith, he was escorted by his parents and siblings. He has been a member of the Mountain Lion basketball program for one year. After high school, Jack plans to pursue his dream of playing college basketball.
Cameron Puckett
Cameron is the son of Larry Puckett, he was escorted by Dylan Morris, Blake Davis and several teammates. He has been a member of the Mountain Lion basketball program for one year, during that time he was able to score his 1,000th career point. After high school Cameron plans to go to college and play basketball.
Pineville Independent celebrated their senior students participating in their last season of boys and girls basketball, cheerleading and archery before the Mountain Lion’s home game against Corbin on Tuesday evening.
Senior cheerleaders Faith Abner, Graciie Collett, Kelcay Helton, Aubrey Jones, Shelby Patterson and Addison Slone were recognized by coaches Brittany Ralston and Seretta Gambrell; senior archery team member Evan Coley was recognized by coach Dustin Allen; senior Lady Lion basketball players Ava Arnett and Kamryn Biliter were recognized by coaches Elgie and Debbie Green; and senior Mountain Lion basketball players Dylan Abner, Jeremiah Beck, Zander Garrison, Jacob Hartmann, Sebastin Kyle, Ashton Moser, Cameron Puckett, Kaiden Robbins, Jack Smith and Sawyer Thompson were recognized by coaches Brad Levy, Shane Shackleford, Robert Smith and Stuart Miller.
“These young men and women and their families have made many sacrifices for our programs and tonight we pause just a moment to say THANK YOU FOR A JOB WELL DONE,” the announcer read as the ceremony started.
