Lady Cats hold off comeback bid for victory over Barbourville

Bell County bounced back into the win column Friday, holding off a fourth-quarter charge by Barbourville to win 64-57.
The Lady Cats led 33-24 at halftime and 53-37 after three quarters before Barbourville outscored them 20-11 in the fourth quarter to pull within seven.
Senior guard Lauren McGeorge scored 27 points to lead Bell County. Nevaeh Allen and Gracie Barton added 18 and 13 points, respectively.
Junior forward Layla Brock led the 8-18 Lady Tigers with 27 points. Marleigh Martin added 10.
Bell County (18-6) plays host to Whitley County on Tuesday.
