Bobcats remain red hot with a pair of wins over the weekend

Bell County went on the road over the weekend and returned with wins over opponents from the 11th and 7th regions as the Bobcats coasted to a 71-38 win Friday at Madison Southern and then downed Waggener 69-60 on Saturday in the Raising Cane’s J’town Jam at Jeffersontown.
The Bobcats dominated with defense at Madison Southern, holding the Eagles to 13 points in the second half. Bell led by nine at the half before outscoring Madison Southern 25-3 in the third quarter to blow the game open.
Sophomore forward Ethan Buell led the Bobcats with 26 points. Blake Burnett and Cameron Hall added 14 and 13 points, respectively. Jaxon Thomas chipped in with 10.
Burnett scored 19 on Saturday. Buell and Hall added 17 and 14, respectively, as the Bobcats won for the 13th time in their last 14 games.
Bell County (16-4) travels to Harlan County on Tuesday as part of a girls/boys district doubleheader.
