Betts’ 44-point night propels MHS to 13th Region All ‘A’ finals

Senior guard Keevi Betts exploded for 44 points as Middlesboro advanced to the 13th Region All “A” Classic finals with an 80-64 win Monday over visiting Pineville.
Emily Lambert added 26 points for the 8-4 Lady Jackets as she hit six 3-pointers.
Junior forward Rachel Howard led the Lady Lions with 32 points. Kamryn Biliter and Madison Johnson added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Middlesboro will play host to the Harlan in the tournament finals on Tuesday at 7. The winner advances to state competition in Owensboro.
