The Middlesboro City Council members who were elected in November were sworn into office by District Judge Robert Yoakum during a brief ceremony at City Hall on Monday evening. The new city council is made up of Bill Smith, Brad Cawood, Dawn Risner, Floyd Branham, Glynna Brown, Judy Grandey, Kevin Barnett, Terry Poore and Tommy Joe Mike. Mike was absent for Monday’s ceremony as he and his wife just had a child. He will be sworn in at a private ceremony. (Photo courtesy Brian O’Brien)
