The Kentucky Farm Bureau Middlesboro Christmas Parade was held along Cumberland Avenue on Saturday evening. There were around 50 entrants this year, including grand marshals Middlesboro native, comedian and TV host Trish Shur and local singer/songwriter Cody Fuson.

The city’s Christmas tree on Fountain Square was lit just before the parade started and artificial snow was blown around the Community Trust Bank hot zone. Buffy Dunnaville gave an opening prayer and Bob Dixon, from title sponsor Kentucky Farm Bureau, joined commentators Brian O’Brien and Travis Moody to officially kick off the parade.

The day’s festivities also included the Christmas Extravaganza on Main at the Crater City Hub, and Santa Paws to benefit the Friends of the Bell County Animal Shelter on the Levitt Stage at the Tinsel Trail on the Avenue.
