Pineville traveled to Oak Grove Elementary in Whitley County to take on the Bruins in 3rd and 4th grade boys basketball on Monday evening. The third grade Mountain Lions grabbed a 30-16 win while the fourth graders won 27-26.

In the third grade game, C. Strange led Pineville with 15 points, W. Millard finished with eight points, S. Ramsey six and G. Bingham one. The Lions led 6-2 after one quarter, trailed 11-10 at the half, were up 19-15 after three quarters and pulled away down the stretch for the 30-16 win.

In the fourth grade game the Lions were led by P. Dover with 11 points, T. Wyatt and L. Hicks scored six points each while T. West and J. Evans scored two points apiece. Pineville led 8-6 after one quarter, 16-12 at the half, 20-18 after three quarters and held on for the 27-26 win
