Strange powers Lady Lions past Middlesboro in league tourney

Led by 23 points from Clara Strange, Pineville moved into the finals of the 13th Region All A Conference Tournament with a 38-26 win Saturday over Middlesboro.
Azalyah Petty scored 12 to lead Middlesboro.
Pineville play Jackson County in the tournament finals on Monday at 6 p.m.

Lady Dragons fall to Middlesboro in tournament action

Harlan fell to Middlesboro 35-31 on Saturday in the 13th Region All A Conference Tournament at Lynn Camp.
Petty scored 14 and Rogers added 13 to lead the Lady Jackets.
Harlan was led by Addyson Patton with 10 points and JaLynn Pennington with nine.
The Lady Dragons won a pair of fifth- and sixth-grade games on Saturday in Corbin, downing Whitley Central 34-27 and Corbin 31-10.
Hannah Gilbert scored 14 points and pulled down 20 rebounds against Whitley Central. Khloe Daniels added 13 points.
Daniels led Harlan in the win over Corbin with eight points.
