Lady Cats stay perfect in district with 3-set win over Middlesboro

Bell County improved its district record to 4-0 with a 25-10, 25-9, 25-12 win Tuesday over visiting Middlesboro.
Kairi Lamb dominated at the net for the Lady Cats with 25 kills, along with two digs. Emma Winkler added 19 assists, five kills, three digs and one ace. Nevaeh Allen contributed eight assists, seven digs, one ace and one kill. Abbi Middleton had nine digs and three aces. Emily Rose added four aces, three digs and one kill. Gracie Barton added four kills, two blocks and one dig. Emma Farmer had three aces and two digs. Laiken Hammontree added two digs and one block. Adyson Scott had four digs and one kill.
“We need to be a little more consistent in the easy things,” Bell County coach Shawn Fultz said. “Overall, the girls are really working hard and are hungry for another district championship.”
No statistics were available for Middlesboro.
Bell County travels to Jellico, Tenn., on Monday. Middlesboro will be at home against Harlan on Tuesday.
