93rd Kentucky Mountain Laurel Festival starts Thursday

The 93rd Kentucky Mountain Laurel Festival is this weekend, May 23-26, in Pineville.
Come out to support our local Princess candidates: Kennedy Lee Ann Yoakum, representing Middlesboro High School; Kamryn Reese Burnett, representing Bell County High School; and Nadine Johnson, representing Pineville High School.
The 2024 KMLF Princess will be crowned during the Princess Coronation held Friday, May 24 at 8:30 p.m. in the old Pineville High School Gymnasium, located on Laurel Street in Pineville.
In addition to the Princess Coronation, the festival features quality crafts and concessions, a 5K run, and carnival around the Courthouse Square. The KMLF weekend kicks off Thursday evening, May 23, at the new Pineville High School Gymnasium with the opening ceremonies where each Queen and Princess candidate will introduce themselves to the crowd with Struggle Jennings and special guests providing entertainment. Saturday morning will begin with the Gala Parade at 10 a.m. featuring Grand Marshal reigning Kentucky Mr. Football Daniel Thomas followed by the crowning of the 2024 KMLF Queen at the Laurel Cove Amphitheater at 2:00 p.m. by Governor Andy Beshear.
