Bobcats close regular season with loss to McCreary Central

Bell County will enter this week’s 52nd District Tournament as the No. 1 seed after winning all six games against district opponents. Still, the Bobcats lost three of their last four games to end the regular season, including a 14-5 loss Thursday at home against McCreary Central.
Senior outfielder Daniel Thomas led the Bobcats with three hits and two RBI. Joseph Brigmon added a double. Cooper Brock, Logan Greene and Hunter Fuson added singles.
Holden Clark started on the mound for the Bobcats and gave up six runs (four earned) on three hits in four innings. Greene allowed five unearned runs on three hits in 2 1/3 innings. Brock gave up three unearned runs on one hit as he recorded the final two outs.
The 15-7 Bobcats play host to the 52nd District Tournament this week and open against Middlesboro on Monday at 6.
