Bell County’s 10-game winning streak came to an end Thursday with a 4-3 loss at North Laurel.
Cameron Smith led the Jaguars with a double and single. Carter Kelley and Cam Hinkle added two singles each. Cooper Parmon had a double. Andrew Cupp added a single.
Tanner Houchens gave up three runs on two hits in 5 1/3 innings to earn the win. Hinkle struck out four and allowed one hit as he recorded the final five outs in earning a save.
Brayden Carroll singled twice and Brody Hensley singled once for the Bobcats,
Blake Burnett was the hard-luck loser as he allowed four runs (two earned) on six hits with three strikeouts and one walk over five innings. Cooper Brock pitched one shutout inning in relief with two strikeouts and no walks.
Bell County fell 4-2 at McCreary on Friday. No statistics were available at press time.
Bell County capitalized on 15 walks to extend its win streak to 10 games with a 15-0 rout of Lynn Camp last Tuesday.
Derrick Goodin pitched a no-hitter with three strikeouts and only one walk.
Joseph Brigmon, Cooper Brock and Blake Burnett each had singles for the 14-6 Bobcats.
