LEXINGTON, Ky. (KT) — Aaron Bradshaw announced his plans to declare for NBA Draft and also entered the transfer portal on Monday.

Bradshaw announced his plans in a post on social media.

“After much reflection and discussion with my family, coaches, and mentors, I have made the decision to enter the NBA Draft while maintaining my college eligibility and also entering the NCAA transfer portal,” he said. “This has been a lifelong dream of mine, and I am eager to explore what the next chapter in my basketball journey holds while continuing to develop and grow each and every day. Thank you once again for your unwavering support.”

Bradshaw missed the first seven games of the season following a foot injury and made his debut on Dec. 2 against UNC-Wilmington. He scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a win over Penn in December. Overall, he started 10 games and scored 4.9 points and had 3.3 rebounds per game for the Wildcats.

Bradshaw was appreciative of his time at Kentucky and will have three years of eligibility remaining at his next school if he decides to remain in college.

“To the incredible Wildcats fans, my teammates, coaches, and supporters, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for the unwavering support you have shown me throughout my time at the University of Kentucky. Representing the blue and white has genuinely been an absolute honor, and I am grateful for every opportunity I’ve had to put on a Kentucky jersey,” Bradshaw wrote. “Thank you to Coach Calipari, and the whole Kentucky staff for the support and guidance I have received throughout every step of my process. Your belief in me has fueled my drive and determination, and I am committed to making you proud, both on and off the court. Thank you to my teammates for battling alongside me and inspiring me to be my best.”

Joey Hart also announced his plans to enter the transfer portal. Hart, a guard, scored three points and played just 10 minutes last season. He won the team’s slam dunk competition at Big Blue Madness before the season began.

In other recruiting news, Karter Knox has reportedly re-opened his recruitment after reports surfaced that Kentucky coach John Calipari was closing a deal to become the coach at Arkansas. Nothing was released about Calipari’s future on Monday.

Women’s basketball: The University of Kentucky women’s basketball program inked a decorated and experienced point guard to its incoming class, coach Kenny Brooks announced Monday. Georgia Amoore (pronounced like A-moore), an All-American graduate transfer out of Virginia Tech, will join the program in 2024-25.

“I am elated to add Georgia to our roster at Kentucky,” Brooks said. “Her work ethic and accomplishments add credibility as we try to build Kentucky into a contender. Our experiences together will help to make a smoother transition and I can’t wait for BBN to experience her passion for the game.”
