Mary Lynn Miller, age 73, of Speedwell, Tennessee passed went home to be with her Lord and Savior March 2, 2024.
She was born August 1, 1950 in Middlesboro, Kentucky to the late Linus Bud and Edna Partin.
Mary Lynn was a believer and a worker! She believed in the Baptist faith and was a longtime member of Hensley’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She worked in the home growing up and her first paying job was working as a waitress at Pine Mountain State Park, where she worked for many years. And if it had wheels, she could drive it as her work history proves; she had worked as a long-haul truck driver, a coal truck driver, and a school bus driver. She had worked as a longtime librarian at Henderson Settlement and was responsible for starting the senior citizen center at Henderson Settlement which is still in operation today. She enjoyed being outside and loved spending time at her daughter’s farm with all the animals. Her passion was her grandchildren and she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She never met a stranger and could talk to just about anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Johnny L. Miller, sisters-in-law Sonya Partin and Brenda Partin, nephew Terry Lee Partin, and nieces Sarah Margaret Partin and Amy Lee Howerton.
She leaves behind her son Ralph (Lora) Blackburn, daughters Melinda (Mark) Honeycutt, Veronica (Mike) Brooks, brothers Terry Partin and Kenton Partin, sisters Sharon (Floyd) Ledford and Paula K. Brock, aunt Loney Maiden, uncle James Christopher, grandchildren Sidney Ellen Honeycutt, Tommy Hicks, Kaitlyn Hicks, Ruth Cassidy Brooks, Matthew Brooks, Haydon Blackburn, and Chesney Blackburn, and a very special grand dog Jade who was always by her side, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her so very much.
