Curtis Mason, 86

Curtis R. Mason, age 86, of Harrogate, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord, his passing was near KY-1809. He was born September 25, 1937, at the family homestead on KY-92 in Ingram, KY, the son of the late Reverend Robert Mason and Odella (Brooks) Mason Fuson.
He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age and was a follower of the Baptist Faith.
Curt worked as a parts salesman for and retired from Worldwide Equipment, Inc. He was an avid golfer and a regular at Monte Vista Golf Course. In later years, he spent his evenings playing bingo at the Purple Clover and the “Blue Building”.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Betty Jo (Ellison) Mason; his son, Dewey Allen Mason; sisters, Vandetta Munroe and Bobbi Price; and brother, Homer Dale Mason.
He is survived by his children, Lori (Kevin) Zierden of Fontana, CA; Trina (Scott) Hagan of Laporte, CO; Shreiva Shrout, Alicia (Jeff) Willis and Joseph (Beverly) Mason, all of Harrogate, TN; brother, J.C. (Judy) Mason of Marion, OH; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

The family of Curtis R. Mason will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., on Monday, March 18, 2024, at the Mountainview Memorial Chapel in Harrogate, TN. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Wynn presiding. Music will be provided by Donna Wynn and Tim Dyche.
Family and friends met at Cawood Funeral Home, at 12:15 p.m., on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, to travel in procession to the Jones Cemetery by Red Oak Church in Middlesboro, Kentucky, where the graveside services was held at 1:00 p.m.
Pallbearers were Nathan Mills, Cameron Mason, Dewey Knuckles, Chris Blackburn, Oliver Blackburn, and Trevor Honeycutt. Honorary pallbearers will be Christian Knuckles, Allen Mason, Andy “Ned” Shelton, and Chris Knuckles.
